Hello dear family and Friends.
My Dad is back in the Hospital at the Queen of the Valley. He went in for a blood transfusion and to have a lasik drip which helps when he gains too much water weight too fast. Its hard on the kidneys though. I flew up early Wednesday morning at the last minute and I felt lucky to get on a very full flight. He has congestive heart failure for a very long time now, and kidney failure. To go through the routine on the hospital is really hard for him, and of course more and more problems are happening. We are planning to see finally this morning the Case manager/social worker and Hospice to see what kind of palative care we can give to Dad and keep him comfortable and at home. We need wisdom and we need Dad to understand what is happening to his body and that things are different when he goes back ( hopefully soon) to his room at the Meadows. Nicky and Tom have been so incredibly patient and helpful with Dad, but its not easy to care for someone in this late stage. I am here to help, and just sit next to Dad as nurses, doctors etc explain things to him and he doesn't get it. I hope I am getting the instructions etc also right. Jill is on her way up today, and Louie got to see my Dad the other day before an emergency took him home to Orange County unexpectedly.

He has bounced back from each hospital visit this last 14 months. He may again this time, for a short while. He is an energizer bunny and is breaking all records for someone with his condition. I don't know what today holds for us, But I am thankful for prayer and support and a God who loves us so much, and strengthens us in these times.

I will try to keep you posted. You can always email me. or post comments here on this page.
